The food was REALLY really good!!! I tried the Chana Masala- the chickpeas had the perfect consistency and the sauce was so good !! The rice was so delicious and so was the roti. I’m a huge fan of Indian cuisine and I have to say that the Chana Masala is very good:) the only negative thing is the PRICE- it’s about 250 pesos for the Chana Masala (quite expensive) and 60 for the roti (which is totally ok). The dishes with meat start at 300 I think.

If you want to try Indian food in the middle of El Nido town, this is the right place for you! Big serving, good for 3 pax if you eat in moderation (there were 3 of us who shared the food). We tried the chicken biryani, chicken massala, and naan bread. 1 serving of naan bread is sliced to 4pcs, we didn’t know, so we ordered 2 servings. They also accept gcash—very convenient payment method for me aside from credit card.

2/5: Good food, poor service
First off, I’ll say the food is good. Authentic enough, and portions aren’t the worst. However, the prices are quite for this amount of food.
The problem for me was the staff’s poor communication. I ordered the Butter Chicken and was told it comes with rice and a bread. I told the lady that I wanted rice and naan.
However, it was when I received my food that I was told that it came with rice OR bread, not both. If I had known that, I would’ve ordered only rice as I didn’t really want bread that much. The waitress confused me and I ordered more than I would’ve liked.
By the way, rice is 60P and bread is 70P. When they gave me the bill, they of course had the rice included with the butter chicken order, and made me pay for the bread separately, the more expensive of the two options 🙃
Also, get ready to have flies join you in your meal.
If this is how a restaurant needs to operate to make money, that’s a sad sign.
Overall, wouldn’t come back here. I’d recommend Ashoka instead; it also has good food but I didn’t deal with a situation like this there.

The food was definitely authentic. The chef was Indian. The flavors would burst at your mouth. The staff are accommodating.

Food was delicious, but docking a star because: 1) the restaurant itself is in a warm and smoky hut, and 2) the timing of dish delivery needs improvement (we were served one curry, but then had to wait ages for the rice and crockery). The veg masala and chicken tikka masala were both excellent - as good as a good Indian in the UK. The daal was fine, but a bit watery, in case you prefer thicker lentils. Garlic naan was excellent. If you're lucky, it might even arrive with the rest of your food.
