Cadlao was an amazing stop on our honeymoon. The amenities and service were world class. Every day there are 2 free drinks to choose from between 3-5, there's 3 pools, free restaurant style breakfast and an amazing location. It's outside of El Nido but still close enough to easily walk which made it a fantastic secluded location which we loved. The entire staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make our stay nice. We booked a garden suite which was lovely. It was more private which I appreciated. The main draw backs were that the water in the rooms was never warm, let alone hot, and the water pressure was to be frank, a joke. I would have appreciated a good shower, but that was not to be had. Additionally, the drinks were not very good. The frozen drinks were the best we found, but the quality in general left a lot to be desired. But over all those are small things for the incredible location, experience, and hospitality we received at cadlao. I'd totally recommend staying here on your trip to El Nido.
Clean and simple but practically furnished. The 'arrival' via the beach is a special kind of experience. The safe consists of a wooden box with a tiny padlock, the entrance door (at least in the 'Lavender' bungalow) sometimes gave the impression that it was locked, but it wasn't. No luxury but top relaxation. Breakfast and dinner are excellent, the bar is good, and the massage is priceless. On the 'stupid tourist' price scale, the resort is in the middle range, as at least the view somewhat compensates for the high costs. The negative point was: since our ferry to Coron was canceled (BTW: definitely take the plane/check ratings), we needed 6 rooms for another 2 days. This was confirmed to us - at least for one night - the evening before (after asking twice). The next day the 'morning crew' didn't know anything about it and instead confirmed that online reservations were still being accepted at short notice, with the result: 'fully booked'. In the end we had to look for 3 rooms on the island. Unfortunately, this unacceptable internal 'miscommunication' ultimately casts a long shadow over what was actually a wonderful vacation.
My wife and I booked this fantastic resort as part of our honeymoon and we were so pleasantly surprised. I could not have wished for a better place. It is in the perfect location with great facilities and the room was perfect. The walk to El Nido proper is 7 minutes along a beautiful beach, but if you're feeling lazy or in a rush the resort offers a free 2 minute tricycle ride. Pam was especially helpful with organising everything from scooter rental to boat cruises and useful hints for the best trips around El Nido. The restaurant is also very high quality with delicious, creative and tasty dishes, the service is also of the highest quality.
I booked this hotel at the last minute when I arrived a day early in El Nido and my hotel for the remainder of my stay was not available. It was a lovely surprise! While the rooms are very basic, the location was stunning and the service was stellar. Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. If you want a laid back, relaxing beautiful spot look no further!
This is a wonderful resort. The rooms are on the small side and a bit basic, but they have everything you need and they are charming. The place is stunning, with lush vegetation and 3 wonderful pools. The restaurant has the best food we had during our trip to Palawan. Finally, the service was top notch, everyone went the extra mile to make sure we had an unforgettable experience. I would come back in a heartbeat.
