We spent four days and three nights at the lodge. The staff are really kind and accommodating. Coffee is free 24/7. The location is peaceful, the room is generously sized, and the view from the third floor is breathtaking. In comparison to other hotels or shops, the food here is also relatively inexpensive.

Ok. Power went out. Didn't turn on generator until late afternoon. No hot water. Loud creaky floors.

Hotel was clean and staff very helpful. The room is modest but newish. It has aircon, a fan and a small balcony. The water in the shower is not hot (they have a solar panel system) but with the local temperatures is even pleasant to shower with "room temperature" water. The staff were very helpful at all times, helping us to find transportation in the early morning and giving recommendations. You need to negotiate the price (like everywhere else) but it has a good quality/price relationship.

Once you enter, the place seems good and rather new. The room is nice and the bathroom spacious and clean. However, there is a smell of humidity which is unbearable and in order to bear it you have to keep the air-condition on, which then doesn't allow you to sleep. There is no window to the exterior and it is a bit claustrophobic, adding it to the horrible smell. There is almost no wifi (we asked for the password but they told us it functions only between 12 am to 6 am - and not for sure). The staff is polite and there is free coffee but the whole experience is not that good and totally not value for money .

We arrived late in the afternoon and we booked for two nights. We also booked for a one day tour for the following day. The horror is it was cancelled due to typhoon but the morning receptionist (a fat lady) didn't even bother to knock on our door to tell us that the tour was cancelled. When we went down and all ready to go she just told us "oh the tour is cancelled". She wasn't doing anything. She was just on her phone. We could have avoid getting up very early and shower in a really cold water. We rented a car from Puerto Princesa so it was possible for us to drive around without getting wet coz it was raining all day. But there was nothing to do on the island except island and nature tours but it was impossible to do when there is typhoon. The hotel's internet is not working at all. There's only one bar in el nido that plays live music but it was just reggae so we decided to just go back to Puerto Princesa instead. We tried to get our money back from the one day room rent but they never give it back not even a single peso or even a "sorry". Don't book at this hotel. Rooms are small, wifi doesn't work, no hot shower and the receptionist is unprofessional.
