Room was great for the price. Nice bathroom, big bed, good space. Very simple place where you get what you pay for and then some. No elevator so 3rd floor can be rough with bags. Short ride into downtown area for little money.

Great location, in front of the El Nido beach, so you could sit by the pool and watch the sunset and listen to the waves of the ocean. Staff were polite but feels like there aren't enough around. Restaurant next to the hotel has enough variety of food for breakfast and one person to cook some eggs/pancakes for you (but queue up). Rooms had a good view of the pool and beach.

In general we found the Doublegem to be a suitable 3 star hotel, however there were many things that could have made our stay more pleasant.
Good things: The Beds were fine, the size of the rooms were fine for a double, the rooms had a safe for valuables, the air con was good. The hotel provided purified water. The pool was nice and had a lovely sunset in the evenings. The happy hour cocktails were good. The location was nice and close to where to boats departed for the tours and was a quick tricycle into town. The staff were nice and helpful.
Not so good things: There were a lot of rules - there was a 'rules of the hotel' card on the bed when we arrived. The restaurant wasn't great and the breakfast was mostly cold. The omelet and pancake station were good though. If you left any food on your plate your room was charged extra costs. You couldn't leave wet clothes on the balcony or your room was charged extra costs (there were lots of things like this on the card). Half way through our stay we had to change rooms (due to our booking), but the staff didn't tell us this until we got back from a tour one day to find 6 men in our room installing an extra bed, with all of our belongings sprawled around the room... We then had to pack in this chaos to move across the road to another room... which already had two beds in it... We didn't understand why that room wasn't given to the new guests and we couldn't just stay in the room we were in. The bathrooms weren't great in either room... They were small and the shower temperature and pressure wasn't great (but better than a wet room). The second one didn't have an exhaust fan, so it was very hot, stuffy and smelly. The wifi wasn't very good.

Good resort with nice and helpful people on the counter. Receptionist, helpers, housekeepers and touristic guide always ready for helping you.
The swimming pool gives you a great view of the beach just in front of the hotel. And if your feel like to go out and take some drinks and different food there are some places just by walking distance!

Beautiful setting, unreal sunset viewing pool and bar area. Great location easy to access towns amenities and attractions. Only reason it did not get a full five was the water pressure was spotty at select times. Wifi was limited to lobby and bar. Both minor issue. Bed was comfy and staff were friendly and helpful!
