We had an awesome time at Frendz. The dorms are nice and clean. The rooftop pool and bar is awesome! The pool table is free and you can book hostel-own tours which is fun, because the crew is really cool!

4.5/5.0: Great place to make/enjoy time with Frendz This place is the place to be in El Nido. I made a lot of friends and good memories thanks to staying here. This is due in part to Frendz’s tours, and it’s open social atmosphere. If you want a tour, their tour group, called Haqqy Life, is top-notch. Prices are fair, the office crew is professional and the tour crew is very fun and professional as well. The tour includes rum coke at the end, and free shots at the rooftop pool after. The bottom floor of the hostel is great. Open design with a restaurant and plenty of seating. Other positives: - Rooftop Pool and great view - Staff is kind and professional - Food at the restaurant is good, albeit overpriced I’d say - Clotheslines outside the rooms to dry your clothes - Replaced my towels after my tour upon asking There are a few negatives, but they’re mostly small: - No laundry machines/service - It can be a bit dirty - No wifi in the rooms! This is a big flaw actually. Really annoying to deal with. Overall though, this hostel was great and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in El Nido!

Awesome place to stay! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We had a great time, met great people and made good friends. John and JD are the best and always showed us a good time. We will come back for sure.

Good location but it’s so so noisy at night time music goes on till 2 am and you can here very clearly from bedrooms and to top it off they start playing music very loudly around 7.30 am?? Stayed here for a week because of location but did not sleep well any night at all! Staff were not friendly either and the rooms smelled like mould or musky wet damp sort of smell. Rooms also Very very basic. It’s too highly priced for what you are getting. The food is very poor for the price they charge. I did enjoy the boat trip to be fair it was fun and the staff there were friendly and the lunch provided was good! Also I enjoyed the rooftop bar and pool but I would stay elsewhere and come here to use the pool and do the boat trip you don’t need to be a guest. The hostel itself feels like your staying in carpark I feel like it may be an old carpark done up? But I’m not sure but deff feels like that! Which in theory is cool but this is not unfortunately

I definitely enjoyed my stay here. Rooms: shared room and it was good Lobby: spacious but utilized lobby, has pool table which guests can use. Free water in a dispenser beside receptionist. Haqqy life is their in-house/partner tour agency which caters not just tours but motor rentals and such is on the right side and Hub cafe, the in-house resto is on the left side. Tour agency: makes booking for tours easy, they also have online booking site Hub resto: food was good for its price (compared to the rest of el nido and no service fee, or maybe its just because im a frendz guest). They accept gcash payments which made payments easy. Frendz is a 5-floor hostel, 5th is the rooftop where their overlooking pool is in and also their happyhour bar. There’s a pool party at night and ends at 10pm. Quiet time is 11pm-6am, which means guests must respect other guests by keeping their cool, or better yet, stroll outside as bars are still open naman (this is what my roommates did, pool party from happy hour to 10pm, party outside beyond that). Arrived at around 12am and the staff was ready to assist me. Originally booked 3 nights but since i arrived earlier, i had to add 1 night for the same price (500 nightly in a 8-bed shared room). Had foreigner roommates during the first 3 nights and they’ve been kind and calm to share rooms with, the last night or 4th night roommate was kind of troubling as he/she was having nightmares i guess which sounded very weird at around 2 or 3am, it kinda gets into you on what he will be doing next and kinda find it hard to sleep well, the other roomie noticed it too and asked me about it in the morning. I’m saying this because i hope that people who books for a shared room should also be responsible with their actions or existing sleeping problems which can disturb other guests of the same room. I would gladly come back to this hostel when i visit El Nido again as a backpacker. The view from the rooftop alone was worth the 3 flight of stairs lol.
