Clean rooms, aircon, good location... But NO HOT WATER. And useless "wifi". Biggest issue is loud groups of Filipinos like 5 to 10, very loud hanging out ( tambay) in the walkways.
Good location and Wi-Fi worked! We stayed 3 days and there was no power in 2 days in the afternoon until the beginning of the night. The lack of energy is a problem on the island however the hotel's generator could only hold the lamps on. It was unpleasant to be without a fan. We asked for a hot shower but it was unstable and there was also a shortage of water in one day.
We had a hot shower and a clean room. Don't understand the other reviews. I will agree about the no window thing which kind of sucks, but can be solved by just opening the door for some minutes with the fan on. The air-con worked most of the time which was totally understandable as the power was out in the town for most of our stay. This hotel actually had and used their backup generators every time. Super nice to have lights and WiFi in the storm when the rest of the town was dark. WiFi was also really decent most of the time! Good location and very quiet in the room. The common area outside all the rooms is kind of old and used by backpackers as a predrinks spot, but I guess they got told off by the security as we were not disturbed at night. Will stay here again if we ever go back to El Nido. Best place to stay during a storm for sure.
Not the best place to stay. Showers are always cold (anytime of the day). At the rooms on the fourth floor, there are some devices attached at the tear wall (water pumps?). These machines start making a lot of noise at any random time of the day. The personnel is nice and helpful. WiFi is only in the lobby, however horribly slow. The view is quite good from the fourth floor.
$64 dollars a night for a very tired old looking hotel room with no window... AC was terrible, hot water some times, also shower water had a slight diesel fragrance? Staff were pleasant enough and location is right on the main street... But for $64 a night, I would expect a lot more... El Nido has a long way to go in the way of accommodation and infrastructure...
