Somehow kind of disappointing. Must be the most expensive hotel we booked during our trip in the phillipines and felt like the least of all of them. We feel like it is just way overpriced, even when we booked last minute with a discount. Rooms are a little outdated, dark and muf. Spacious though. Wifi for us actually wasn't working that great. Breakfast was included in the price, but not that good.
Staff was wonderful, very helpful and kind. (We could even check out a little later)
So perfect for a one night stay over in El Nido if you are passing by. At least this hotel is a little more relaxing and comfortable and does not have the massive tourism feel to it like the rest of El Nido.
Ps: they arranged for a shared van to Port Baton, with pick up at the hotel for 600p each.

Solid hotel in the heart of El Nido town, close to all the restaurants and night life. Amazing staff, everyone truly cares about the well being of their guest! Room exactly what we needed, great AC and had everything you need.

Great hotel, recently renovated. The room is fully equipped with sound proofing walls, safe box, fridge, balcony, it has the little detail of a curtain to stop the strong aircond flow directly to our faces

The hotel's got some really great points about it
- Staff: all absolutely wonderful. They put our beds together into a double bed after one night after seeing we had accidentally been put in a twin room. Staff were always really kind, chatting to us and making us feel welcome. Eric, keven and all the reception staff were always so kind and were a lovely highlight in our stay, always trying to help. They even organised a car for us when we were leaving which could accommodate our luggage
- Free water - really great that there are water coolers everywhere in the hotel and drinking water is free. Such a good point
- Own power generator - the island electricity went one day but the hotel was not impacted. Really good
- Free breakfast - sets you up for the day & all the Filipino food is absolutely delicious. Particularly liked the beef tapa and Longannisa sausage. Really tasty and you get little free soup appetizers & sometimes desert too
- Location - 5 to 10 minute walk from the beach, lots of bars and most of the boat tours leaving points in El Nido.. gives you a crucial extra bit of sleep!
- Facilities - beds are big and comfortable, WiFi is dependable and decent strength and the air con is very strong (so strong they have a little blind to stop it blasting your bed!) - rooms v pleasant to be in all around. There is also a pool with free towel rental
In all, this place is absolutely perfect to stay in while you are doing activities in and around el Nido. Right in the middle of the most active area with good facilities. Really liked it and would happily recommend

Home away from home.
If you want a posh beach side hotel, Sea Cocoon is not the place. Instead, it is situated in seemingly the heart of El Nido proper, literally steps away from pretty much everything you need like all the restaraunts, bars, and even the place where our island hopping tours met up. Did not need a tricycle ride for anything. Because El Nido is still a developing town that is responding to the sudden boom in tourism the past decade, expect the city proper to feel a little rough. It's part of the character, but Sea Cocoon was a welcome oasis to retreat back into.
The rooms are spacious, well decorated, clean and accurate to the pictures on the website. Wifi was excellent, water quality was excellent (we felt comfy drinking the filtered water). Room cleaning once every day is a huge plus. Service was excellent and the staff are ready and willing to help you with literally anything, like arranging transport, laundry, motorbike rentals, boat tours. They even have an air dry space to clean your feet of sand. The staff is very friendly and greet you every time they see you making for a welcoming environment that feels like home.
Lastly the breakfasts were AMAZING! The breakfasts were made to order - you just need to remember to place the order by the night before, but it's SO worth. The menu had a mix of Western style and traditional Filipino style dishes so there is lots to try - I wish I had more days to try everything! It looks like there has been a huge improvement in the breakfasts here over the last 5 years, so if you have been here before please do try it again. It is simply the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel, period. And I have stayed in some pretty fancy places. Would definitely come back again!
